Howdy! my name is Jemuel
Growing up, I had a hard time maintaing myself to stay still. It’s as if I’m driven restless by some unknown force. Sometimes, this internal force can be destructive, if not handled properly, because I would be investing this kind of energy into doing non-productive activities or giving somebody hell. Though eventually, it would bite me back as a result of my mischievous actions. Yes, that’s right, I used to be a mischievous little imp! However, as I grew older I had to leave that mentality and invest in myself. I couldn’t find “it” until later in life until I went on a vacation.
Back in 2012, I went on a vacation in the Philippines for over a month. During that time, I had over indulged myself too much of everything. Specially the ones that doesn’t necessarily contribute to health. Just my opinion, being on vacation I think its alright to eat what you like but as long as you have control but in my case, I didn’t. Food, alcohol, various kind of services was cheap and readily available. I felt like a King! I’m sure if you live this kind of lifestyle, I bet you wouldn’t want to go back to your normal life. Just kidding.
After being on vacation for over a month, this habit of not eating right and exercising caught up to me. I started to feel different from my usual self. Something wasn’t right. I became easily lethargic, unmotivated, I gained 15lbs, I had a lot of mental fog, and the list goes on and on! I couldn’t bear seeing this self-image of myself and allowing myself to become whom I wish I’m not. When I had this realization, that’s when reality smacked me. At that time, I made a promise to myself that I’m going to start “TODAY” and leave that life style.
I had to start somewhere small at first. I started running for at least 3o minutes a day 4 to 5 days a week. It was uncomfortable at first but I had to put my own belief that I can overcome this personal obstacle. Over time, I had to push myself a little further by running an extra kilometer or two in order to maximize my workout. Strange enough that prolonging your workout or physical activity increases your stamina or endurance. Once I became comfortable with my schedule for running, I added swimming as well. It felt therapeutic as well and it helped me lose with my unwanted weight.
As for the food that I ate, I had to be selective which food has a high content of fiber and greens along with foods that are rich in vitamins and minerals. I had to give up eating sweets. If I do crave it, I had to settle with mother nature’s natural gifts: Fruits.
WHY YOU WANT TO HELP PEOPLE
Over the course of 2.5 months, I manage to lose 20lbs in total. I couldn’t believe myself that I had that kind of determination. There are many factors that I owe gratitude to. One of them is envisioning myself transforming into someone I would like to look in the future. Visioning myself helped me with my drive to pursue whom I would like to become and I am here to help guide you to become your future better self!
I’m sure that we all have been to some kind of hell but I would like to help you achieve the success that you’ve been chasing because I understand what it feels like to struggle with being too self-conscious, lack of self-esteem, being awkward and the list goes on. I would like to help you today on how you can start feeling good about yourself. Though this will require you some sacrifice such as your time and effort but I assure you that your result will be drastically phenomenal! So please bear with me as I help you transform yourself into your longing envisioned self!
